In 1Q 2017, Otava purchased Echo Cloud, adding two Kansas City data centers to its portfolio and expanding the company's geographic footprint and pool of resources. Likewise, the company announced the acquisition of cloud hosting provider Neverfail in 4Q 2018, adding a handful of data centers to Otava's portfolio. The company was acquired by Schurz Communications (owner of the South Bend Tribune) in 1Q 2018, and rebranded to Otava in 2Q 2019 due to significant corporate growth. Otava is headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
