Ark Data Centres is a data center provider located in purpose-built campuses around the UK. The company was founded in 2005. Ark offers scalable colocation solutions, in addition to cloud, connectivity, and managed services. Ark’s data centers are designed to take advantage the abundant free cooling available in the UK, and also utilize indirect air and chilled water cooling to ensure a low PUE. The company also takes part in a joint venture with the Cabinet Office forming Crown Hosting Data Centres Limited. This joint venture funnels a substantial amount of public sector data center demand into Ark’s facilities. Ark operates three campuses in the UK, each located in London, Corsham, and Farnborough, with new campuses planned in Chertsey and Hayes.
